Tara: Tara is an Irish female name, derived from a place in Ireland, the Hill of Tara, an ancient ceremonial gathering place of Irish royalty.
Its Gaelic origin means “hill,” but it has come to imply more of an “elevated place,” like a rise overlooking a surrounding vista.
Tara is also a word originating from Sanskrit, meaning “star," “the light of the soul.” It is the name of a Hindu goddess who represents the multidimensional feminine aspect of spirituality, or the “Sacred devine feminine,”
the eternal life force that fuels all Life.
Present in all cultures by different names, Tara embodies deep compassion, fierce protectiveness and courage, noted for her willingness to offer assistance and service to the world. She is the source of resilience, hope and healing.
The name “Tara Haven Farm” is
a nod and note of gratitude to
Veronica’s Irish ancestral lineage,
to the multicultural expression
of the universal “sacred feminine,”
the magic and medicine of Nature
so readily felt on the land,
and the intention to create a space
in which to enjoy and access it all.
